Matthew Martinez has been in the electrical industry for 21 years. Matt recently completed his 4-year electrical apprenticeship with the IBEW/NECA and he now holds both a Master’s and a Contractor’s license (2019). In 2005 Matt received his Colorado Journeyman’s License. During his technical training he simultaneously gained valuable hands-on work experience with several established companies with whom he worked as a foreman, general foreman, and superintendent on various commercial and industrial projects. Matt eventually started his own business, Tri-M Electric Contractors, doing residential work and light commercials projects.

Flight for Life
Proud Kidney Donor
In August 2017 Matt donated one of his kidneys to the Flight for Life Nurse, Dave Repsure. After hearing about Dave’s need for a kidney at a Christmas party, he thought about it would mean to Dave and to himself, and decided, ”Well, what’s the worst that could happen?” The transplant took place at UCHealth.
“It makes me feel alive knowing that I helped someone else live.”
Since then, Matt and Dave are helping to make the world a better place — and are both strong advocates for organ donor registration. In May 2018 Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed into effect “The Living Donor Support Act”. Matt stated.
